This year marks the 50th Anniversary of Earth Day, and on April 22nd, people across the global are participating in live digital events to honor Mother Earth. In celebration of Earth Day, we're highlighting a few of our favorite MAGIC brands that are rooted in sustainability.

1. NLT 

NLT is a womenswear brand that channels the refined ease and laidback femininity of the modern Los Angeles woman. The mission of the brand is to empower women through fashion, using clothing to connect with themselves and others. They believe in wearing sneakers with slips and heels with hoodies - where comfort and styles are not compromised. By redefining norms, and resdesigning basics, they hope to reimagine the self for the betterment of the world. Due to the times, NLT has pivoted their business to making non-medical masks from fabric that they would have otherwise used for their SS20 Collection. 

2. LOTUS AND LUNA 

As a brand, Lotus and Luna takes pride in creating beautiful accessories with a beautiful message. Each product is hand crafted by a team of talented female artisans living in villages outside Chiang Mai in Northern Thailand. Reducing waste, all hair accessories and face masks are made from excess fabric materials leftover from their apparel production. 

3. PRINCE PETER COLLECTION 

Raised on rock and roll, Prince Peter is a contemporary clothing line dedicated to the evolution of style. Designed and produced in Los Angeles, inspired by icons of generations past, the collection is consistently looking forward. Fit, fabrication, hand-feel and construction all reign supreme. 4. BELJOY 

Beljoy is a distinct line of handcrafted jewelry produced in Haiti and the United States by local artisans. The brand offers men and women in Haiti the opportunity to earn a dignified and consistent wage through the art of jewelry making. They are commited to the local sourcing of jewelry components like clay, paper beads, and horn. Beljoy collaborates with the Starfish Program through Touch of Hope Haiti, to support the in-country production.

At 1502 Candle Co. they put a lot of thought into keeping their shipping materials sustainable as well and have found a great supply of materials that are recyclable, biodegradable, and made in the USA. 

5. ROSE GYPSY

Environmental sustainability is an important part of the Rosy Gypsy business model, and something that they take very seriously. 6. 1302 WATCH CO. 

1302 Watch Co specializes in men’s and women’s watches, as well as AppleWatch compatible bands for tech savvy customers. They also offer a line of vegetable-tanned leather straps as part of their effort to provide sustainable, eco-friendly products for their customers. The vegetable tanned process takes an average of 40 days, and is made with almost no chemicals. This natural tanned leather also absorbs the proteins of the person wearing it and darken sand caramelizes over time giving it it's own unique look.

3. BLOWFISH MALIBU
