Q: MONDAYS ARE TOUGH NO MATTER HOW MUCH YOU LOVE YOUR JOB. WHAT IS YOUR GO-TO MONDAY LOOK? Â
That's a tough one! How I dress for work truly depends on how I feel that morning or what I have scheduled that day- whether it's Monday or not. If I have an event to attend or interviewing someone for a story, I try my best to look my best. I am a firm believer in "look good, feel better." But that just means wearing my favorite outfit and lip color of that moment. Currently, I am a big fan of midi dresses and sneakers. I'll take a comfy pair of sneaks anyday! Â
Q: WHEN HOSTING CREATE & CULTIVATE EVENTS, HOW DO YOU DECIDE ON AN OFF-SITE OUTFIT THAT WILL KEEP YOU COMFORTABLE AND FEELING GOOD?Â
We tend to follow our C&C uniform for events. This means cute and comfy sneakers, a white tee, pink fanny pack, jeans, pink bandana and C&C pin. I like following our C&C uniform these days because it's one less thing to worry about and guaranteed comfort. As much as I love individuality and unique dressing, I think it's cute that when you show up to our events and can point a C&Cer in a sea of attendees.  Â
Q: WITH THE EVER-SHIFTING RULES OF OFFICE ATTIRE, WHAT DRESS CODE DOES THE CREATE & CULTIVATE OFFICE FOLLOW OR NOT FOLLOW?Â
At Create & Cultivate, we literally wear anything and everything. I would most definitely say that we wear what makes us feel comfortable and confident. Even if on some days (or most days) we are wearing jeans and tees and sneakers. I have my days that I do my hair, wear a pantsuit (still with sneakers) and throw on some lipstick. But I also love a comfy sweatshirt and jeans too. We have complete freedom in what we wear which is actually quit empowering.Â
Q: IT'S PRESENTATION DAY! YOU'VE BEEN PREPARING FOR THIS MEETING FOR WEEKS, WHAT IS THE POWER OUTFIT THAT MAKES YOUR FEEL CONFIDENT IN FRONT OF THE EXEC TEAM?Â
A pantsuit of course! I love that as women, we don't feel like suiting is only for men. There is something sharp and sophisticated about a matching pant and blazer combo. I usually pair this with white sneakers for a modern touch.Â
Q: WHAT IS YOUR IDEAL OUTFIT THAT CAN TAKE YOU FROM WORK TO HAPPY HOUR?Â
A midi floral dress! I can actually pinpoint a few hanging in my closet right this second. One in particular is a red floral, three-quarter length sleeve flowy midi dress with a v neckline. I usually top this look off with white pointed-toe boots and light wash vintage Levi denim jacket. Easy!  Â
Q: AS THE TEMPERATURE RISES IN LA THIS SUMMER, WHAT WARDROBE ESSENTIALS KEEP YOU COOL AT WORK?Â
I thank my lucky stars that our clubhouse has AC. This means that you can still wear most of your wardrobe (within reason) in the summertime. I wear lots of tops with jeans, jumpsuits, and dresses- but mostly dresses.Â
